 The last six blocks are all quilted.

 

I have enjoyed trying to make every block quilt design different, although there were some favourites that I quilted a few times.

 



 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I decide to quilt the block design onto the outside border.

 

 

I love this quilting design in the blue border.  

 

 

I did stipple behind the design in the outside border but I forgot to take a picture.

You may be able to see it in the picture below, although the fabric itself is very busy.

This is the fifth row and the quilting is coming along nicely.

 

 

 

I am amazed at what designs I come up with, one more row to go.

I am really enjoying quilting these blocks and thinking of new designs to quilt on them.

 

Hopefully the next six blocks will not take so long to quilt.

I have managed to get the next row of this amazing quilt completed.

 

 

Love the effect of straight lines.

 

Using a few favourite designs.

 

Trying out a few new designs.

Making some up.

There as been a bit of unpicking.

New York Beauty

 

This quilt is stunning perfect piecing, seams all laying flat and thirty six blocks to fill with quilting.



 

I forgot to take a picture of the whole quilt so here is a snap shot of what it looks like.

 

 

Here are some blocks that I have started on.

 

I am going to try and quilt every block differently.

I will ditch stitch around every piece.

 

Thread change for every colour.

A new category was created in the quilt show this year and here is my quilt that I entered.

Lucky me I got awarded first place in this section.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Quilts for the Show

 The West Australian Quilt Show is over for another year, I was able to make a few quilts myself to enter and I also quilted one for my friend Val.

 

Here are some pictures I took at different stages of quilting Val's quilt.

 

It sure is a Big quilt.

 

The quilting designs are from the Parisian set by Joanne Knott at The Quilters Quilter.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This quilt was entered in the Two Person section and it was awarded third place :)
