The first lot of photo's are the beginning of the blocks.

It didn't take to long before the blocks were made.

Rita plans to do a few more blocks and make a quilt.

Chris will make more blocks for a quilt.

Cassie is going to make a cushion.

Nikki will make a small quilt.

Val's block was quilted and made into a cushion.

Eileen plans to make a few more blocks and turn them into cushions.

Janie will make a quilt.

All the blocks look great and I am looking forward to seeing the cushions and quilts all made up.

It was a great weekend and I look forward to our next workshop together.

Hexagon Quilting

When I received this quilt I really did not know what I was going to do.

I thought I would carry the design through, so I digitized the star that was appliqued and stitched it inside the quilted hexagons.

Filling up all the space.

The stippled hexie was decided at the last minute.

A few stars echoed floating in the stippling.

I quilted half stars in the half hexie border.

The applique stars were also quilted around.

Stars were quilted in the large hexagons.

Close up of the stippling.

Completed and I am happy with how it has quilted out.

Ready for pick up.

Labyrinth Quilting

This is my first custom quilting for 2014.
I was excited to start the quilting and happy with the result.
The quilt was made by a student at a workshop I had in my studio.
Hope you enjoy the close ups.

Queen size.

It is great when there is a plain back as you can flip the quilt just to show off the quilting.

Ready for pick up.

Thank you for taking a look
